Katy Anielak
Hello, everyone! I am Katy and I am currently in the History graduate program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Prior to this opportunity, I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Public History in 2019. During my undergraduate years, I spent a semester at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, South Korea, further expanding my horizons and shaping my research interests. I also spent a semester in Seattle at the University of Washington in their Japan Studies graduate program.
I am interested in studying the history of Japan, South Korea, and China, especially in relation to representation in the United States. As an avid fan of film, literature, and media, highlighting these categories is central to my work. As the world reopens, I would like to add posts dedicated to specific historical locations around the world, but until that day comes, I will be focusing on different historical matters.
